Planescape: Metamorphosis takes place in the Planescape D&D setting, a place of many worlds and dimensions spanning an infinite “Multiverse.” The story revolves around a young traveler named Qul and his adventures across the Multiverse. The title, “Metamorphosis,” was picked because Qul’s presence will cause a change in the people and beings he encounters.

The purpose of Metamorphosis is twofold. First, I intend to draw and entertain both myself and others. It is my hope that many people will find something about this comic that entertains them. Furthermore, I enjoy drawing and I would like to share that with others.

The second purpose is to show the Planescape setting to others. I have deliberately made Qul “Clueless” about the Multiverse so that I can show the setting through Qul’s story. The scope of the setting is much too vast for everything to be shown within the scope of a single story, but I hope to present enough of the setting to give you, the reader, an idea of what’s going on.

The author, who goes by the handle “Kaitou Kage” online, is a graduate student currently studying history of East Asian religions.
